Question I can get the output of a job with Receive-Job, but how can I have the job, itself, log to a file? I've tried Write-Output from within the script. I tried setting out-file withint he script... But nothing ever gets written. I suspected, at first, that it was being written to some other folder, whatever fodler is the default folder when the new sesion is launched, but a search of my drive doesn't show the files, either... How can I generate output? Thanks. J Answers From what I can see from your code, and from experience with jobs, you will only receive the output of the various Write-Hosts when you Receive-Job. But, as I demonstrated, the file should be written during the job. Receiving the job does not affect the creation of the file. It should be created anyway. I can't explain the behaviour you're getting.
